The Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, the sister organisation of the World Economic Forum and the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, a not for profit organisation of Jubilant Bhartia Group are pleased to announce that Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India will be the Chief Guest at the 12th Social Entrepreneur of the Year (SEOY) Award India 2021.
The prestigious award will be presented by the Honourable Minister at a virtual award ceremony on Thursday, October 7th, 2021 in presence of esteemed dignitaries and guests from different fields and from across the globe.
An eminent jury panel comprising industry stalwarts and distinguished personalities from different fields and backgrounds will select the final winner of the award. The winner of the SEOY Award – India will join the world’s largest network of high-impact social enterprises affiliated with The Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship.
The four finalists of the SEOY Award – India 2021 are high-spirited transformational individuals:
- Dr Aparna Hegde from ARMMAN – ARMMAN leverages technology to create cost-effective, scalable, non-linear, systemic solutions to improve maternal and child health in the first five years. Its programs provide pregnant women/mothers with critical preventive information to improve health seeking behaviour.
- Seema Prem from FIA GLOBAL – FIA redefines how financial services are distributed to low income individuals in South Asia, particularly women. FIA’s AI powered Fintech platform – FINVESTA aggregates, designs and delivers sachet financial products to rural customers
- Pranshu Singhal from KARO SAMBHAV – Karo Sambhav aims to make recycling a way of life. It collaborates with enterprises, strategic alliances and governments on ‘Circular Economy’ and ‘Extended Producer Responsibility’ (EPR) frameworks. It covers e-waste, plastic packaging waste, battery waste & glass.
- Dr. Shuchin Bajaj from Ujala Cygnus Healthcare Services – Ujala Cygnus has been working on building capacities for Tier 2 and 3 cities to create a value based inclusive healthcare brand by providing quality care with dignity through emphasis on affordability and convenience. It also mobilizes rural communities by generating awareness on health issues.
The four finalists have been selected from over 100 diverse submissions from 28 cities of India. They are selected through stringent criterion of evaluation, based on several parameters, including COVID-19 response & efforts, background research, personal & on-ground team interactions, impact assessment, expert reviews and reference checks.
