PM Modi at NDTV World Summit 2025 highlights India’s unstoppable growth, reforms, and resilience, inspiring CSR and social leaders.

NEW DELHI (India CSR): Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the NDTV World Summit 2025 in New Delhi on October 17, 2025. Extending Diwali greetings to the audience, he appreciated the theme of the event—“Unstoppable India.” He said it truly reflects the nation’s mindset today, as India is not in the mood to stop. “We will neither stop nor pause,” he said, “140 crore Indians are moving forward rapidly and together.” The Prime Minister spoke about India’s transformation over the last eleven years and how collective effort has turned challenges into strength.

He emphasized that India’s story is no longer about survival but about success and purpose. The Prime Minister said that each Indian today contributes to the nation’s growing self-confidence and progress. He reminded that India’s achievements—from innovation to infrastructure—are the result of a united people determined to rise above obstacles. He said that “Unstoppable India” is not a slogan, but the lived reality of a nation that believes in its power and destiny.

For CSR and social leaders, his message reflected how consistent reform, accountability, and inclusion can turn fragility into strength — a reminder that national development and social upliftment go hand in hand.

1. India Is Not in the Mood to Stop

“India will neither stop nor pause, 140 crore Indians are moving forward rapidly, together,” said the Prime Minister. He said the country’s journey reflects a collective determination to achieve the seemingly impossible. He called it the strength of unity and discipline that has made India a nation that does not wait for circumstances but creates them. Modi said that the people of India have transformed doubt into belief, challenges into opportunity, and adversity into strength.

He added that this unstoppable spirit is visible in every village, city, and enterprise of India. Every young person, every farmer, and every worker today feels a sense of ownership of the nation’s growth story. The Prime Minister said this shared momentum has made India the world’s most dynamic democracy — where 140 crore people are working together to make the future brighter.

2. The World Faces Roadblocks, India Moves Forward

The Prime Minister said that while the world faces roadblocks and speed breakers, India is accelerating with confidence and purpose. He reminded that in the pre-2014 era, the world doubted whether India could ever recover from corruption, scams, and inflation. “At that time,” Modi said, “global discussions questioned India’s potential and credibility. But today, the same world talks about India as a model of hope and stability.”

He said the contrast between then and now defines the nation’s journey. India, once seen as vulnerable, has become a global force shaping discussions on economy, climate, and innovation. The Prime Minister said that the nation’s strength lies in its resilience — a spirit that finds solutions even when the world sees problems.

3. From Fragile Five to Top Five Economies

Highlighting India’s transformation, the Prime Minister said that the country has moved from being among the “Fragile Five” to one of the world’s top five economies. Inflation is below two percent while growth exceeds seven percent. He said that every global prediction that doubted India’s potential has been proven wrong. Modi added that this progress is not accidental but the result of reform, discipline, and commitment to good governance.

He said that India’s performance during crises such as COVID-19 has strengthened global confidence in its capacity. “We did not collapse under pressure,” he said, “we rose with purpose.” The Prime Minister said that India is now seen as a pillar of global growth, with every reform rooted in stability and self-belief.

4. From Chips to Ships: The Confidence of Atmanirbhar Bharat

“From chips to ships, the confidence of an Atmanirbhar Bharat is evident across sectors,” said Modi. He said that India has built a strong foundation of manufacturing, technology, and innovation. The nation is developing its own semiconductors, strengthening shipyards, and exporting digital expertise. He said that this spirit of self-reliance is shaping a new India—one that builds, designs, and leads with pride.

He also said that the days when India relied on others for essentials are over. Whether it is vaccine production, defense manufacturing, or renewable energy, India stands tall as a global contributor. Modi said that Atmanirbhar Bharat is not isolationism but self-confidence—a belief that India can create for itself and contribute to the world.

5. India’s Growth Is Shaping Global Opportunities

The Prime Minister said India’s growth is now creating opportunities worldwide. He mentioned the $100-billion EFTA investment commitment, record merchandise exports, and Google’s $15-billion AI investment. He added that India’s rise is driving employment, innovation, and trust across borders. “The world looks at India,” he said, “not just as a market, but as a partner in progress.”

He said that the world’s investment in India is also an investment in global stability and sustainability. The Prime Minister said that when India grows, the world benefits—through technology, energy, and human capital. He said that this partnership with the world is proof that India’s growth story is inclusive and beneficial to humanity.

6. India: A Reliable, Responsible and Resilient Partner

Modi said that today the world recognizes India as a reliable, responsible, and resilient partner. He said that global investors have faith in India’s transparent systems and predictable governance. From electronics to pharmaceuticals, and automobiles to mobile manufacturing, India has become a trusted destination for global partnerships. He said that this transformation reflects India’s credibility built through consistent reform.

He said that the strength of India’s democracy lies in its accountability and discipline. Modi added that India’s growing reputation as a stable economy is matched by its moral authority in global affairs. He said the world now sees India not only as a rising power but as a nation that honors its commitments and responsibilities.

7. Edge of the Unknown Becomes Gateway to Opportunity

The Prime Minister said that while the edge of the unknown may seem uncertain for many, for India it has always been a gateway to new opportunity. He reminded that India has a long tradition of courage and curiosity, from ancient explorers to modern innovators. He said that the nation has always believed that stepping into the unknown leads to transformation.

He added that this philosophy guides modern India’s approach to technology and reform. Whether in fintech, clean energy, or digital governance, India has chosen to innovate rather than imitate. Modi said that the courage to take the first step is what defines India’s unstoppable character in a changing world.

8. From Risk to Reform, Reform to Resilience, Resilience to Revolution

“We have turned every risk into reform, every reform into resilience, and every resilience into a revolution,” said Modi. He recalled how global experts once doubted India’s ability to deliver digital identity and real-time transactions, yet India created the world’s most advanced digital ecosystem. He said that this ability to convert challenges into strength has become India’s signature.

He added that whether during the pandemic or global conflicts, India’s response has been decisive and reformative. The Prime Minister said that the combination of speed, scale, and sensitivity defines India’s reforms today. He said this continuous process of evolution is what makes India not just a nation in transition but a nation in transformation.

9. Democratizing Policy and Process

The Prime Minister said that over the past 11 years, his government has worked to democratize both policy and process. He said that earlier, bureaucracy was an obstacle between the people and progress. Today, the system empowers citizens through transparency and inclusion. He said that with 50 crore Jan Dhan accounts and universal banking access, India has given dignity and opportunity to the poor.

He added that this democratization has changed how citizens interact with governance. The poor no longer fear government offices—they now see them as partners in progress. Modi said that democracy in India is no longer limited to elections; it now lives in the daily empowerment of every citizen.

10. Banking Reform and Economic Democratization

Recalling the nationalization of banks, the Prime Minister said that earlier governments claimed it would help the poor but ended up creating barriers. In contrast, his government connected every village with banking services. He said loans worth lakhs of crores have been extended to women’s groups, small farmers, and entrepreneurs. This financial inclusion, he said, has turned India into a nation of opportunity.

He said that the banking system today stands on the principles of trust and transparency. Modi added that record profits and reduced NPAs prove how reforms have rebuilt confidence in public institutions. He said that economic democratization is the foundation of real social empowerment.

***

11. Energy and Gas Sector Transformation

The Prime Minister recalled that before 2014, petrol pumps were ordered to close at night to save subsidy costs. He said that his government reversed that mindset—ensuring energy availability round the clock. He said that 10 crore poor families have received free gas connections under the Ujjwala Yojana. “No mother should cook in smoke,” he said, describing the scheme as one of dignity and health.

He added that India is now making massive investments in electric mobility, green fuels, and renewable energy. Modi said that the energy sector today symbolizes India’s shift from scarcity to sufficiency. He said that energy security has become the engine of economic and social transformation.

***

12. Public Sector Empowerment and Poverty Reduction

Modi said that earlier governments allowed public sector undertakings to stagnate. In contrast, his government revived PSUs like LIC and SBI, which are now setting records in profitability. He said that democratization, not bureaucratization, boosts citizens’ morale. “Our policies are designed to empower the poor, not pity them,” he said.

He said that in eleven years, 25 crore citizens have been lifted out of poverty, reflecting the results of consistent reform. Modi said that this is the power of direct benefit transfers, digital inclusion, and transparent systems. He said that a government rooted in democracy can ensure both growth and compassion.

13. India Among Top Five Nations with Indigenous 4G Stack

The Prime Minister proudly said that India is among the top five nations in the world with an indigenous 4G stack. He said BSNL, once ignored, has now become a symbol of national capability. On the day of the 4G launch, over one lakh mobile towers were activated across India. He said that this has brought fast internet to remote forests, hills, and border regions.

He said this success shows that no part of India will remain disconnected from development. Modi said that the digital revolution has given every citizen access to opportunity, from education to healthcare. He said that the 4G success is proof that public sector strength and private innovation can coexist for national progress.

14. Digital Empowerment and e-Sanjeevani Revolution

Highlighting India’s digital transformation, Modi spoke about the e-Sanjeevani platform, which has facilitated more than 42 crore OPD consultations. He said that on the day of his speech, over one lakh people had accessed medical help through the app. He said that e-Sanjeevani symbolizes faith in technology, governance, and human service.

He said that digital healthcare has ensured that even in distant villages, every patient can now connect with doctors and hospitals. Modi said that e-Sanjeevani represents the government’s commitment to “Ease of Living.” He said that this platform demonstrates how technology can serve humanity with compassion and scale.

15. Making Life Affordable and Empowering Citizens

The Prime Minister said that data once cost Rs. 300 per GB and now costs just Rs. 10, saving thousands annually. He said Ayushman Bharat has saved Rs. 1.25 lakh crore for patients and that Jan Aushadhi Kendras have provided medicines at an 80% discount. He said that reduced heart stent prices have saved families Rs. 12,000 crore yearly, while income up to Rs. 12 lakh is now tax-free.

He added that these changes are not just economic but social revolutions that improve everyday life. Modi said that affordability is the new face of empowerment. He said that the government’s vision is not only to increase income but to reduce unnecessary expenditure for citizens.

16. The Fight Against Maoist Terrorism

Calling Maoist terrorism a “grave sin against the nation’s youth,” Modi said it has destroyed generations of progress. He said that 125 districts once affected by Maoism are now down to just 11, with only three highly affected. Over 303 Naxalites surrendered in 75 hours, many carrying bounties worth lakhs. He said that the youth once trapped in violence are returning to the mainstream with faith in the Constitution.

He added that peace and progress are replacing fear in tribal regions. The Prime Minister said that schools, hospitals, and roads are now being built where once bullets ruled. He said that the government’s development-first approach has proven that compassion and opportunity can defeat extremism.

***

17. From Red Corridors to Bastar Olympics

The Prime Minister said that regions once infamous for violence, such as Bastar, now represent peace and unity. He said that tribal youth organizing the Bastar Olympics symbolizes the new India emerging from darkness to light. He said that this Diwali, lamps will shine in regions once silenced by fear.

He added that these transformations are not only victories of governance but of faith. Modi said that when the youth get opportunities, they choose progress over violence. He said that the day is not far when the entire nation will be free from Maoist influence and will celebrate complete peace.

***

18. Development with Dignity and Empathy

Modi concluded his address by saying that India’s development journey must walk with dignity and empathy. “Speed must match respect for citizens, and innovation must serve compassion,” he said. He said that India’s goal is not just to be developed but to remain humane and inclusive.

He said that this is the real meaning of Viksit Bharat—a developed India that values every citizen. He appreciated platforms like the NDTV World Summit for promoting meaningful dialogue and global partnerships. Modi ended with confidence that India’s journey ahead will inspire the world with its balance of progress and humanity.
