MUMBAI: Education and Environment Drive program was launched at Shree Ganesh Vidya Mandir, Dharavi, Mumbai in association with Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai which is powered by Endress+Hauser, India. Present for this outreach program were officials from Endress+Hauser and ICT College.
Through this endeavor Endress+Hauser aims to encourage a step in the right direction towards developing the cognitive skills of young students, which in turn promotes the social and emotional strengths that can lead to academic achievement, positive behavior and healthy relationships.
Shree Ganesh Vidya Mandir is a Marathi medium primary school located in Dharavi and the children studying in this school are from Dharavi. There are around 150 Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe children who have little or no access to other schools so this initiative was well received by the school.
The purpose of this outreach program’s constant endeavor is to simultaneously promote importance of saving water and conservation of natural resources. There was an innovative workshop held which was engaging for the children. They were donated with notebooks, pencil sets, light snacks as a part of the program.
Sajiv Nath, MD, Endress+Hauser, India talking about the initiative says, “This distinctive awareness drive reflects Endress+Hauser’s social responsibility efforts where promotion of saving natural resources one of them being water falls under its strategic accomplishments. We have given precedence to building creative partnership between the masses, youth and corporates. We are hopeful that the initiative must have benefitted in creating the required awarness which has given an impetus to a new vision in water management and conservation in the country.
