NEW DELHI: Shabnam Singh, Chairperson of YouWeCan, Yuvraj Singh Foundation initiatives said, “We have successfully conducted 120 cancer screening camps across India and approximately 1,20,000 people from marginalized backgrounds have benefitted.”
“We are presently supporting the education of 140 cancer survivor students from below the poverty line under the Together We Can initiative.”, she added
“Our focus is to spread awareness on cancer by facilitating cancer screening camps in the most remote areas of our country aimed at early detection of cancer.”, further added.
YouWeCan is the Yuvraj Singh Foundation initiatives. YouWeCan’s Chairperson Shabnam Singh shared her perspectives at a CSR Conclave on importance of collaboration between the Corporate and NGOS for spreading awareness on Cancer Screening, Cancer Treatment and Education and Cancer Survivors from Below the Poverty Line.
A designated stall space was setup to explain the visitors about the projects and interventions of Yuvraj Singh Foundation and its Cancer Focused Initiative – YouWeCan – Fight Cancer.
The Yuvraj Singh Foundation is a Non-Profit organization founded in 2009 is working for three primary initiatives: Health, Education and Sports. Despite the progress made in oncology over the past few decades, cancer still holds a strong stigma for those who do not understand the disease or the effects of its treatment. YouWeCan is an effort to support and build awareness in their quest to conquer cancer.
These grants will provide substantial funding of devices and adaptation of existing technologies for cancer awareness and detection in low and middle-income areas nationally.
