MUMBAI: Maharashtra Seamless Limited, a subsidiary of the DP Jindal Group, has announced that it has an unspent CSR budget of Rs 260.58 Lakhs for the financial year 2021-22. The company, which had a total CSR budget of Rs 481.69 Lakhs for the financial year, has already spent Rs 211.21 Lakhs on various initiatives.
The unspent funds will be invested in ongoing projects over the next three financial years, with a focus on education, rural development, animal welfare, COVID-19 relief, and healthcare. The programs are being undertaken through the B C Jindal Charitable Trust and the B C Jindal Medical Welfare and Education Society.
According to the chairman of the company, D P Jindal, the company is dedicated to fulfilling its social responsibility and contributing to the well-being of the communities around its factories. The company has already invested in various initiatives for the growth and prosperity of these communities, including hygiene, healthcare, and education.
The CSR activities are being carried out at six different locations, including Seamless & ERW pipes at Pipe Nagar and Mangaon in Raigad, Solar power at Pokaran, Durjani, and Village-Naigaon, as well as Akkalkot. The company’s CSR policy has been approved by the board, and the company will continue to invest in various initiatives to support the community.
