Modern workplaces run on constant innovation and teamwork. At the same time, employees’ good health is also crucialfor making a business successful. Due to regular pressure and tight deadlines, most employees consider health as a low-priority factor. That’s why several organizations have invested in corporate health check-up Packages for their employees. Most packages include medical tests that detect hidden health issues early. So, which tests are crucial for preventing health complications in your employees? Find the details before taking the right measures.

Which medical tests are included in corporate healthcare programs?

Check the list of the most significant medical tests in the employee health screening program.

Urine and blood tests

Your employee health screening program should include blood tests that check glucose, cholesterol, and other details. High blood sugar and cholesterol can lead to various health issues. So, encourage your employees to control their glucose and bad cholesterol levels.

Moreover, your employees need to take urine tests to identify-

  • Proteins
  • White Blood Cells
  • pH levels

These medical examinations determine if your employees have health problems. Sometimes, kidney diseases and cardiovascular disorders do not cause prominent symptoms at an early stage. Only medical tests can diagnose diseases correctly for early treatment.

Chest X-Ray

Some corporate health check-ups include chest X-rays for employees. The imaging test checks for any symptoms of respiratory disorders, lung infections, and tumors. Especially those who travel frequently for job purposes need to take the test. For instance, jobs that expose your workers to chemicals and dust may cause risk to the respiratory system.

Biometric tests

Your employees need to take biometric tests that measure their-

  • Weight
  • Height
  • Blood pressure
  • Body Mass Index

Employees should stay hydrated to prepare for the biometric screening. This test provides detailed health-related data on every employee. Based on the report, your corporate team can take the right wellness initiatives.

Alcohol and drug screening

Alcohol and drug tests are important for creating a safe workplace. These screenings reduce absenteeism and improve the productivity of your employees. Creating a drug-free workplace is vital to restoring your company’s reputation. Especially, businesses in the transportation and manufacturing sectors should include the test in the corporate health screening program.

There are different ways to test for alcohol and drugs. Most healthcare providers recommend screening the saliva, urine, or sweat.

Hearing ability and vision test

Good vision and hearing abilities are crucial in most sectors. For example, constructors operating heavy machinery need a great vision. Minor or major vision issues may cause a serious risk to themselves and other team members. Moreover, those working at noisy sites need periodic hearing tests.

If the healthcare specialists have detected any issue, they will recommend corrective lenses or hearing aids.

Physical fitness test

A healthy worker always has endurance, physical strength, and speed. Especially constructors and firefighters need significant strength to do their jobs. For this reason, physical examinations should be a part of the corporate health-screening program. The medical checkup will evaluate factors like body weight and blood pressure.

Immunization tests

Your employees need immunization tests to prevent the transmission of infectious diseases. These tests are important in most high-risk industries, such as healthcare.

Vaccinations protect your workers from different preventable diseases and safeguard their health. So, based on the test report, you can arrange vaccination programs for your employees.

How does a corporate health checkup program benefit you?

A corporate health screening program is beneficial to you and your employees.

  • Health screenings allow you to develop a culture of safety in your workplace. They prevent costly injuries and improve your employee morale.
  • By prioritizing health, you can reduce the absenteeism rate, ensuring higher productivity.
  • Your employees will be safe from potential medical complications in the future.
  • A healthy work environment will encourage your employees to do their daily tasks with concentration.
  • Your corporate team will receive the best wellness tips from healthcare experts.

Conclusion

A health checkup for employees includes a number of medical tests to assess your workforce’s health. Many online platform offer convenient options for services ranging from blood tests to diabetes screenings, allowing your employees to take preventive steps. You can also foster a culture of responsibility and care in your organization. Your healthy employees will help you grow your business.
