The top 10 states accounted for a substantial part of these contributions, spearheaded by Pan India with a notable Rs 3491.30 crore in CSR spending, Govt. CSR Data revealed.
India, known for its flourishing corporate sector, has witnessed a considerable inflow of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funding during the fiscal year 2021-22. Ten states stood out for receiving the lion’s share of these funds, reflecting a marked commitment to societal advancement and welfare.
Following closely was Maharashtra, which committed a commendable amount to CSR initiatives, demonstrating the strong commitment of its corporate sector towards social upliftment. The top 10 states in India for CSR expenditure for the financial year 2021-22, in decreasing order, are as follows:

The capital has been allocated to a total of 42,440 CSR schemes, an all-time high for the country, showcasing a fervent corporate response to the Companies Act, 2013 that obligates CSR involvement for certain types of companies.
