In the financial year 2023-24, despite numerous financial obligations, TCS not only met but exceeded its statutory CSR expenditure requirements.

For the fiscal year 2023-24, TCS set aside Rs 850 crore, equivalent to 2% of its average net profit, for its CSR activities, as mandated by Section 135 of the Companies Act. This allocation underscores the company’s strategic intent to integrate social responsibility with its business objectives. By the end of the year, TCS reported a total CSR expenditure of Rs 827 crore. This expenditure not only complies with the legal requirements but also indicates an efficient and effective use of allocated resources towards meaningful and impactful CSR initiatives.

- Impact Assessment: There was no separate expenditure on impact assessment this year, reflecting a strategic deployment of funds directly into project activities.

- Socio-Economic Mobility: Approximately 797,749 people benefited from programs aimed at enhancing socio-economic stability and mobility.
- Women’s Empowerment: Efforts to build equitable pathways resulted in significant advancements for 405,775 women.
- Youth Engagement: About 455,692 young individuals received support through educational and skill development programs.
- Support for Marginalized Groups: A significant focus was placed on aiding 547,311 individuals from marginalized communities, helping them overcome barriers and achieve self-sufficiency.
