JAMSHEDPUR: 2012: Tata Steel and Tata Cummins jointly launched a one-year skill development programme ‘Nayi Disha’ at Community Center, Kasidih on February 16, 2012. The programme aims at developing the skills of youth which will subsequently help to increase their employability.
The program contains both, theoretical as well as practical on the job training modules. During the training, the selected candidates will be exposed to various functions in Engine Assembly, Testing, Quality and Safety. After successful completion of the training, tests and evaluations, the trainees will be awarded a Certificate of Training.
Mr Vikas Thapa, Sr General Manager – HR, Tata Cummins Limited graced the event as the chief guest. Others present on the occasion were Mr Sanjay, Head, Urban Services; Mr Ravi Pandey, Sr Manager, Urban Services; Mr Basant Singh, Manager, Urban Services and many more.
