NEW DELHI: Chetak group, a pioneer in logistics and supply chain solutions in automobile transportation in India, has further strengthened its foray into a multi-modal transportation model by transporting the first lot of 4000 Tata Intra vehicles to the Andhra Pradesh Government.
This is part of the Swachh Bharat Campaign of the Andhra Government which will be launched by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at Vijayawada, today, by handing over the first lot of 200 specialized Garbage Collection vehicles to Municipal Corporation of Vijaywada, under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
This is the company’s second association with Tata after it started the multi-modal transportation, a couple of months ago by using Rail and Road transport to deliver 430 customized Tata Xenon ambulances from Tata’s manufacturing unit in Dharwar to various Military hospitals, located at widely spread defense locations including Jammu, Prayagraj, Guwahati, New Delhi, and Durgapur.
Speaking on occasion, Mukesh Haritash, Director, Chetak Group said, “We are happy to strengthen our foray into Multi-modal transportation model, especially by transporting Tata Intra specialized Garbage Collection Vehicles, playing our little role in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, along with our long term credible partner Tata Group. The transportation of Garbage Collection vehicles gains significance, as the Hon’ble Prime Minister has launched the second phase of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan called AMRUT (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation)
