NEW DELHI: Sun Life Asia Service Centre India (ASCI), the Global In-house Centre of Sun Life Financial conducted a free COVID-19 vaccination drive for its employees and their dependents under the company’s “Project Care”. The drive was held from June 08 -June 12, 2021 at the company’s Gurugram premises.
1209 employees had registered for the inoculation drive. 630 people including ASCI employees, their dependents and ASCI’s support staff were COVID-19 vaccinated. The drive was conducted in multiple phases to help support doses for any further requirements. The vaccines were administered on 4 days with 4 time slots on each of these days to limit exposure. Doses of both Covishield and Covaxin were available to help beneficiaries get both- the first or second dose as per their requirements. The camp had an expert team of medical staff at the vaccination site with two ambulances on stand-by.
The employees had to online register themselves and their dependents and get confirmed time slots thereby ensuring social distancing and avoiding queues onsite. The organisation had taken several steps to logistically manage the huge exercise, adhering to all local government protocols, ensuring the safety of all and enabling a seamless experience for people with diverse needs.
Apart from launching the vaccination drive to assist its employees, ASCI also has a tie up with Doctor INSTA wherein employees can avail 24×7 Video consultation support from certified doctors.
The organisation also declared a one-time Wellness pay out of Rs 10,000 to all its over 1800 employees to help manage the Covid related expenses. In addition to this, ASCI worked with its insurance partner to provide reimbursement of a part of Home care expenses for its employees or their families. The company also has an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) on mental health and emotional well-being for employees to deal with issues and stress related to COVID-19.
