Doon-based Society for Inclusive Development (SFID) successfully organized “Himalayan Yuva Prerna Yatra (HYPY), five-day journey for young participants from 22 States of India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, from 25 to 29 May 2013. The journey started from Doon University on May 25 and concluded at Patanjali Food Park on May 29.

DEHRADUN: There was pin drop silence in the board room, around 100 energetic , passionate and innovative youth from all over India were waiting for unexpected guest to come, speak and motivate them about the journey of achievements, fulfillment and full of challenges. Waiting was over when Acharya BalKishan, co-founder of Patanjali Yogpeeth, Patanjali Food Park, Divya Pharmacy, Patanjali Ayurveda Ltd. walked in plain white cloths along with Shri. S.K Patra, CEO Patanjali Food Park and Anil Jaggi President of SFID (Society for Inclusive Development).
The moments and excitement was quite visible in the group, to meet someone who is in the news for many reasons. Many delegates had some queries in mind and were exited to interact with him to understand the whole philosophy and vision directly from the founder .
When Acharya Balkishan started talking & addressing to all young members of “Himalayan Yuva Prerna Yatra”, (an initiative of SFID) , everyone present there was watching and listening curiously & with full attention, interest and excitement.
The journey of Patanjali, how the small idea of transformation and community centric business was conceived, formed and became big in the last eighteen years was told to youngsters coming from best of the universities like IITs, IIMs, BHU, Petroleum University, MIT, Asian Institute For Women, Bangladesh Institutes like Google, Dell Computers, Green Earth Alliance, Eklavya, Rural Talk/Bhopal etc.
Acharya Balkishan motivated them by sharing his personal experience that how he along with Swami Ramdev ji started Amwla Juice unit and now expanding in all sectors of organic products, education, health etc. It is not possible to become successful if you keep on considering problems and making plans and programs to assure success, says Balkishan.
If we get 100 passionate youths with interest to change the world , we can make them micro level entrepreneurs in the villages of Uttarakhand. We will inspire, train and mentor them to become entrepreneurs within their own region, which will check migration as well, said Acharya BalKishan. SFID can play big role in this and he invited Anil Jaggi of SFID to come and work with Patanjali to move in this direction jointly.
It is difficult to make out whether we are sitting in some spiritual ashram of Swami Ram dev and Acharya BalKishan or attending a Business /management classes by some professional and management Guru, said Manoj Sharma Head- Yuva Prerna Yatra/SFID. As young participants was so excited to listen to Acharya BalKishan , and wanted to ask him several questions, for which Acharya ji gave them more them enough time to discuss, ask and interact with him to get some guru mantra to become successful and social entrepreneurs.
The detailed business plans about Patanjali , and how it is going to involve youngsters were presented by Shri SK Patra, CEO , Patanjali Food park. We have some corpus funds and action plans to reach rural India, said Shri Patra.
After long journey to Tehri Garhwal, Dehradun, Uttarkashi and Haridwar, Himalayan Yuva Prerna Yatra were ended up at Patanjali food Park with Valedictory Session and certification program, which were awarded by Shri SK Patra and organising team of Shri Manoj Sharma, Sandeep Kukreti, Ritesh , Ashish Arora and Deepak Kakkar.
Vote of thanks was given by founder president Anil Jaggi with special thanks to Dr. Piyush Rautela, for providing Disaster management Team and support during Yatra, Dr. Ansari and Dr. Jyoti Kukreti for medical Support, Shri Mahendra Kunwar of HARC, SP Chamoli of Himalayan Adventure Institute, Dr. Dheeraj Pandey, DFO Mussoorie, VC Doon University for their logistic support.
