PUNE: SG Analytics, The Pune-based leading financial KPO company, has donated a toilet block to a village school under its Corporate Social Responsibility, to provide sanitation for the underprivileged.
The Zilla Parishad Primary School in Gadadhavane village onMulshi Road now has its own toilet block equipped with all modern amenities. The school has 13 nursery students and 22 primary students.The basic toilet provided by the government had fallen into disuse due to lack of water supply and maintenance, as well as poor construction.
SG Analytics has partnered with an NGO, INORA to build 4 more toilet blocks in rural areas around Pune. Gadadhavane village in Mulshi Taluka of Pune district is a tiny village of just around 500 households.
This toilet block containing four toilets equipped with modern amenities such as flush, light, exhaust fan, water storage, etc, was rebuilt by SG Analytics at a cost of Rs one lakh. The company’s CEO Sushant Gupta said that child education is the primary responsibility for the nation right now.
“As part of that long-term goal, it is imperative for us to provide basic amenities like school toilet and water. Our company has decided to make a meaningful contribution towards the society by providing school toilets in as many villages as possible. We hope the individual village panchayats cooperate with us in maintaining them ” he added
SG Analytics’ toilet initiative will be a welcome addition for the Gadadhavane village that is surprisingly clean. INORA has ensured the village panchayat’s commitment in regularly maintaining the toilet block.
SG Analytics has embarked on its long-term goal to build more toilet blocks in rural areas around Pune, which will be built at a total cost of Rs 5 lakhs.
