As part of this commitment, the bank has allocated INR 316.76 Crore for corporate social responsibility activities in FY2023.
Furthermore, a significant portion of their impact is aimed at underprivileged and marginalized communities, with 70-80% of their CSR initiatives focused on these groups. SBI continues to emphasize its commitment to responsible and sustainable banking.
Spending in FY 2021-22
In the financial year 2022, the SBI’s total expenditure on Corporate Social Responsibility amounted to INR 204.10 crore, equivalent to 1% of their FY2021 net profit of INR 20,410 crore. Out of this budget, INR 102.56 crore was specifically allocated to the SBI Foundation.
