MUMBAI: SAP Labs India has been recognized, by Zinnov, among MNC R&D Centers that inspire and contribute to the growth of the industry in the categories of ‘Most Successful Employee Engagement’ and ‘Impact on Society’. The Zinnov Awards has recognized companies and individuals for excellence in the R&D industry for five consecutive years in various categories.
The ‘Most Successful Employee Engagement’ award was adjudged by a jury who evaluated the initiative on parameters including current attrition, employee goal setting, learning and development, relationship building, compensation and benefits. The ‘Impact on Society’ recognition was awarded to SAP Labs for its continued Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment, clarity on focus areas, employee enablement, CSR investments and the impact of the initiatives society.
SAP Labs India’s recognition for ‘Most Successful Employee Engagement’ showcases its focus on building talent from within, fostering innovation, and inspiring leadership at all levels. Employee engagement takes place through unique diversity and inclusion initiatives such as enabling women to integrate themselves back into the workforce after maternity leave which has resulted in the reduction of attrition amongst women from 31 percent in 2010 to 0 percent in 2013.

SAP’s CSR programs and initiatives strategically focus on three key areas: Education, Entrepreneurship and Technology Donation. The model is well supported by a unique combination of employee volunteering and social investment. In India, SAP has impacted the lives of over 15,000 under privileged youth through education and computer literacy till date. Additionally, it has trained and mentored over 102 social enterprises and sensitized over 11,000 engineering students to pursue entrepreneurship. These efforts are aimed at creating employment opportunities for youth and women and providing skills development to unskilled youth in rural areas.
