BENGALURU (India CSR): Samsung R&D Institute India – Bangalore (SRI-B) has launched its flagship CSR programme, the Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC), at RNS Institute of Technology (RNSIT) Bengaluru, to equip the youth with essential skills in cutting-edge technologies.
Empowering Students Through Emerging Tech Training
Building on the success of previous years, the SIC set up in RNSIT is designed to empower over 100 students by offering comprehensive training in emerging tech areas such as AI and Coding and Programming.
Samsung’s Vision for Youth Upskilling
“The Samsung Innovation Campus invests in our youth, focusing on upskilling them in emerging tech domains and creating greater opportunities for their future. We are excited about our collaboration with RNS Institute of Technology, and looking forward to seeing how students will leverage this opportunity to learn new skills, build competencies and forge a new path for themselves,” said Mohan Rao Goli, Chief Technology Officer, SRI-B.
Bridging the Digital Skills Gap with SIC
Through the SIC initiative, Samsung reaffirms its commitment to Powering Digital India, by bridging the digital skills gap and creating a future-ready workforce. With a curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on projects, the students and faculty of RNSIT will have the unique opportunity to work on real-world challenges, develop problem-solving abilities, and gain practical experience with the latest technologies. This initiative not only aims to enhance employability but also inspire a spirit of innovation among young minds across the country.
A Milestone Collaboration Between Samsung and RNSIT
“This collaboration between Samsung and RNSIT is one of our biggest milestones, transcending any other initiative. It is a true definition of ‘Industry Academia Alliance’. The SIC programme will not only help our students build their careers by utilizing the latest technology, but also help our faculty enhance their knowledge and skillset. Thanks to this effort, our students will be industry-ready, and their future is in safe hands,” said Muralikrishna K Mysore, CTO, RNS Group of Institutions.
Hands-On Learning Through the SIC Programme
As part of the programme, students of SIC will undergo specialized training in a classroom, with a combination of offline and online training. They will also work on innovative projects that address real-world problems under the guidance of SRI-B and RNSIT mentors, enabling them to realize their full potential.
Expanding SIC Across the Country
This is the 7th SIC launched by SRI-B in the country. In three years, SRI-B has partnered with 6 other institutes such as BNM Institute of Technology, Cambridge Institute of Technology (Main & North Campuses), Don Bosco Institute of Technology, KLE Institute of Technology, and IIIT-Kurnool to train more than 500 students under the SIC initiative.
