Safe-O-Kid has tied up with Delhi Council for Child Welfare to create a mosquito-free environment for abandoned and specially-abled children associated with the NGO.
As the monsoon season brings with it a slew of diseases that can affect children, Safe-0-Kid, focused on the safety of children, has launched this CSR initiative to protect children from mosquito-borne diseases and other monsoon illnesses. The compassionate drive for safeguarding little children from vector-borne diseases, mainly through mosquito bites, is launched at a time when the monsoons are in full swing, and children are most vulnerable.
Commenting about the initiative, Tarun Kumar Bansal, Director, Safe-O-kid, said, “While the country is still reeling under the pressure of the pandemic and people are getting ready to safeguard their children from the 3rd wave of COVID, mosquito infestations are causing a different kind of havoc. Reaching out to NGOs is one of the fastest ways to be able to make a difference and benefit a wider range of children that are in true need of help. We at Safe-O-Kid, aim at safeguarding vulnerable and needy children from all sorts of diseases including the ones caused by mosquito bites, which is why we are running this initiative to provide NGOs with anti-mosquito kits to finally reach them to the children that are at the highest risk.”
Dr. Sandhya Bhalla, Director, Delhi Council of Child Welfare, said, “Thank you Safe-O-Kid for your concern to support our cause of giving children a childhood and enabling us to help provide a mosquito-free environment in our home for our children”.
With this unique initiative, the team of Safe-O-Kid aspires to mitigate the risks posed by mosquitos, which even though are highly dangerous and, in some cases, fatal, are still overlooked especially in cases where the children are not from a balanced socio-economic background.

About Delhi Council for Child Welfare
Delhi Council for Child Welfare (DCCW) is a registered non-profit, Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that was established in 1952. The Council first started its work providing care to children who had been displaced, lost, or abandoned in the riots surrounding the Partition of India. DCCW’s services and programs are targeted solely at underprivileged children in and around Delhi. Over the decade, their programs have diversified to cover medical services, nutrition, vocational training, adoption, rehabilitation of physically and mentally challenged children, and the provision of daycare and non-formal education. Today, these services reach about 2500 children daily and are provided virtually free of cost to them.
