In recognition of its high-impact and inclusive CSR initiatives, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has been honoured with the ‘Champion of Change’ CSR Award at the 17th CSR Leadership Summit 2026 held in New Delhi.

NEW DELHI (India CSR): The introduction highlights Rail Vikas Nigam Limited’s (RVNL) achievement in receiving the prestigious ‘Champion of Change’ CSR Award at the 17th CSR Leadership Summit 2026, held at the India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi. It establishes RVNL as a Navratna Central Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, emphasising its strategic national role. The intro explains that the award recognises RVNL’s consistent and high-impact Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, reflecting a strong commitment to inclusive growth, community development and sustainable nation-building. It positions CSR as an integral part of RVNL’s broader mandate, complementing its core responsibility of developing critical rail infrastructure. By referencing a prominent national forum and venue, the introduction underscores the credibility and significance of the recognition, while setting the tone for the article that links infrastructure-led growth with meaningful social responsibility in India.

The award recognises RVNL’s consistent and high-impact Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, reflecting the organisation’s commitment to inclusive growth, community development and sustainable nation-building, alongside its core infrastructure mandate.

RVNL conferred ‘Champion of Change’ CSR Award at the 17th CSR Leadership Summit 2026 in New Delhi

The award takes into account RVNL’s CSR initiatives, especially in Aspirational Districts like Chhattisgarh’s Narainpur district, part of the remote Abujhmarh region. Home to the primitive tribal Madiya community, this area has long remained geographically inaccessible due to difficult terrain and socio-economically challenged conditions due to Left Wing Extremism. RVNL’s efforts in such difficult regions reflect its commitment to inclusive development and nation-building.

The award and certificate were presented by Rusen Kumar, Founder and Managing Editor of India CSR Network (indiacsr.in)—a leading digital platform focused on CSR and sustainability. The summit was organised by India CSR Network, headquartered in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh.

On behalf of RVNL, Anil Kumar Mahato, Coordinator (CSR), RVNL, received the award during the ceremony.

CMD, RVNL, Saleem Ahmad, said: “This recognition reinforces RVNL’s conviction that infrastructure growth must be accompanied by meaningful social responsibility. Our CSR initiatives are designed to create long-term value for communities, particularly in project-affected and underserved areas, while aligning with national development priorities.”
