Reliance Industries Ltd recycled over 73.14 million cubic mtr water in financial year 2018-19 (Apr-Mar) as against 69.36 million cubic mtr in the year ago period, the company said in its annual report.
The company recycled 40.74% water in FY19.
The company also reduced its waste water discharge by approximately 7.3% at 27.87 million cubic mtr), the report said.
At its Jamnagar site, total water was recycled and desalinated while the company achieved zero water discharge at Silvassa and Hoshiarpur sites, the report said.
The company in its report claims to have deployed technologies across all its sites to reduce fresh water consumption per unit of production.
