Reliance Industries’ heavy CSR spend in FY25 targeted sustainability and nationwide community development.
MUMBAI (India CSR): Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has reported a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) spend of Rs. 2,156 crore in FY 2024–25, a 35% increase from Rs. 1,592 crore in FY 2023–24, according to the company’s Integrated Annual Report 2024–25.
The company said its CSR strategy is closely aligned with India’s developmental priorities and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Programmes cover rural transformation, healthcare, education, environmental sustainability, and disaster relief, aimed at delivering measurable and long-term benefits to communities nationwide.
In FY25, rural transformation initiatives included enhancing agricultural productivity, promoting water conservation, and supporting livelihood development. Healthcare programmes expanded preventive and curative services, particularly in underserved areas, while education initiatives improved infrastructure, teacher training, and digital learning access for marginalised children.
Environmental efforts featured large-scale afforestation, biodiversity conservation, and renewable energy adoption in rural communities. Disaster response included both immediate relief and long-term rehabilitation in disaster-hit regions.

- Standalone profit after tax: ₹35,262 crore, down 16.1% compared to ₹42,042 crore last year.
- O2C segment EBITDA: Declined 11.9% due to weaker fuel cracks and lower petrochemical margins.
- Consumer businesses: Contributed over 50% of consolidated EBITDA.
RIL emphasised that these initiatives are implemented through collaborations with government bodies, NGOs, and local community organisations to ensure impact and scalability. The company stated that CSR remains integral to its sustainability vision, with its footprint now extending to every major state in India.
