RAIGARH (India CSR): In an impressive push for the railway sector and healthcare infrastructure, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched several projects on 14th September in Raigarh, signifying a major step towards the holistic development of the state.

Boosting the Rail Infrastructure

The monumental railway initiatives rolled out today include the Chhattisgarh East Rail Project Phase-I, the 3rd rail line from Champa to Jamga, the 3rd rail line from Pendra Road to Anuppur, and the MGR (Merry-Go-Round) system that links the Talaipalli Coal Mine to the NTPC Lara Super Thermal Power Station (STPS). These ventures, collectively valued at about Rs 6,350 crore, signify a robust advancement in the state’s transportation infrastructure.

Elevating Healthcare and Social Welfare

Apart from strengthening the railway network, the Prime Minister also laid the foundational stone for ‘critical care blocks’, a major healthcare initiative that will offer 50 bedded units across 9 districts in Chhattisgarh. Additionally, in an effort to bolster health awareness and medical care for Sickle Cell Disease, 1 lakh sickle cell counseling cards were distributed among the screened population.

In his address, Prime Minister Modi highlighted that Chhattisgarh’s stride towards development is remarkable, with the unveiling of projects that surpass Rs 6,400 crores in value. He emphasized the dual focus on augmenting the state’s energy production capabilities while also refining its healthcare sector.

India’s Model of Development Receives Global Applause

During his speech, the Prime Minister expressed immense pride in how the global community is not only observing but also commending India’s rapid developmental strides and its unique model of social welfare. He reminisced about hosting global leaders during the recent G20 Summit in New Delhi. The attendees, he revealed, were immensely impressed by the Indian developmental blueprint and its emphasis on social upliftment.

Drawing attention to global organizations expressing interest in adopting India’s successful models, Modi attributed this global recognition to the government’s unwavering commitment to equitably develop every state and region. “This region of Chhattisgarh and Raigarh is a testament to this commitment”, the Prime Minister proclaimed, extending his heartfelt congratulations to the people for the newly launched projects.

Chhattisgarh: The Powerhouse of India’s Development

In his continued address at the inaugural event, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi articulated his vision for Chhattisgarh, emphasizing its pivotal role in India’s future development.

Recognizing Chhattisgarh’s Central Role

“Chhattisgarh is a powerhouse of development of the country,” Modi declared, drawing a vivid analogy between the state’s potential and a powerhouse propelling the nation’s progress. He further asserted that a country’s forward momentum is directly contingent on the operational efficiency of its pivotal regions or ‘powerhouses’.

Decade-long Development Initiatives

Reflecting on the past nine years, the Prime Minister detailed the Central Government’s unwavering commitment to the holistic growth of Chhattisgarh. The outcomes of the meticulously devised vision and policies, he claimed, are palpably evident in the state’s current developmental landscape. From expansive schemes spanning diverse sectors to the inauguration of new foundational projects, Chhattisgarh has consistently been a priority for the Central Government.

The Prime Minister reminisced about his earlier visit to Raipur in July, during which he had initiated the foundation-laying process for the Visakhapatnam to Raipur and Raipur to Dhanbad Economic Corridors. Alongside these major projects, he also acknowledged the numerous national highways bestowed upon the state.

Railway Revamp: Envisioning a Brighter Future

“Today, a new chapter is being written in the development of Chhattisgarh’s railway network,” he remarked with evident enthusiasm. He underscored the significance of the enhanced rail network in alleviating the congestion on the Jharsuguda-Bilaspur stretch of the Bilaspur-Mumbai rail line. Besides offering more streamlined transportation, the new railway corridors are anticipated to catalyze industrial growth in Chhattisgarh.

Upon realization of these ambitious railway projects, Modi envisioned manifold benefits for the region, including improved accessibility for Chhattisgarh’s residents and the creation of novel employment and income avenues.

Empowering Industrial and Energy Sectors

The Prime Minister elucidated the strategic importance of curbing both the time and financial expenditure associated with coal transportation from mines to power plants. Highlighting the government’s intent to optimize electricity generation while minimizing associated costs, he introduced the upcoming Pit Head Thermal Power Plant.

Additionally, he heralded the inauguration of the 65 km Merry-Go-Round project, a pivotal initiative connecting the Talaipalli Mine. Modi confidently predicted an uptick in similar projects across the nation, with states like Chhattisgarh standing to reap maximal benefits in the foreseeable future.

Transforming India: PM Modi Emphasizes Equal Participation and Sustainable Development

Raigarh, Chhattisgarh – In a compelling address, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi articulated his vision for transforming India into a developed nation by the culmination of the ‘Amrit Kaal’ in the next 25 years.

Sustainable Energy and Eco-tourism

Highlighting the dual objectives of meeting the nation’s energy requirements and environmental conservation, Modi lauded the transformation of the previously closed coal mine in Surajpur district into an eco-tourism hotspot. He further announced similar plans to establish an eco-park in Korwa, accentuating his government’s dedication to sustainable initiatives.

Enhancing Tribal Prosperity

Delving into the tangible benefits for the tribal communities in the region, the Prime Minister spotlighted the pivotal role of water released from mines. This initiative has notably augmented irrigation and drinking water access for thousands.

Modi emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to safeguard forests and lands. At the same time, he underscored the potential of forest wealth as a vehicle for prosperity. The Vandhan Vikas Yojana, as highlighted by Modi, stands testament to this vision, benefiting countless tribal youths across the nation.

Reviving Tribal Traditions and Health Initiatives

In the context of the global recognition of the ‘Millet Year’, Modi expressed optimism about the burgeoning potential of the Shree Anna or millet market. He remarked on the dual renaissance the country is experiencing: a rejuvenation of tribal traditions alongside the forging of fresh developmental pathways.

Addressing the pressing issue of sickle cell anemia, prevalent especially among the tribal populations, the Prime Minister acknowledged the distribution of sickle cell counseling cards as a monumental stride. Disseminating crucial information, he asserted, is paramount in disease management and eventual control.

Concluding Thoughts

Concluding his address, the Prime Minister evoked the guiding philosophy of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ (Collective Effort, Inclusive Growth). With unwavering confidence, he forecasted Chhattisgarh’s ascension to unprecedented developmental milestones in the near future.

Present at this significant event were notable figures such as the Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Smt Renuka Singh Saruta, and the Deputy Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Shri T S Singhdeo, among other esteemed dignitaries.

Prime Minister Bolsters National Connectivity with Mega Rail Projects in Raigarh

Raigarh – Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s unwavering commitment to enhancing India’s connectivity witnessed a major leap with the inauguration of pivotal rail sector projects worth approximately Rs 6,350 crores. This inauguration, set in the bustling hub of Raigarh, underscores the administration’s vision of an interconnected India.

Overview of the New Projects

The array of projects introduced include:

  • Chhattisgarh East Rail Project Phase-I: A flagship endeavor under the PM GatiShakti – National Master Plan, the project spans a 124.8 km rail line from Kharsia to Dharamjaygarh. It also branches out into a spur line to Gare-Pelma and integrates 3 feeder lines connecting Chhal, Baroud, Durgapur, and other essential coal mines. Erected at an expenditure of approximately Rs. 3,055 crore, this rail line is adeptly equipped with electrified broad gauge level crossings and a double line with state-of-the-art passenger amenities.
  • 3rd Rail Line between Champa to Jamga: This project will significantly bolster the movement along this stretch, optimizing passenger and cargo transport.
  • 3rd Rail Line between Pendra Road to Anuppur: A testament to foresight and planning, this addition will streamline the flow of passengers and goods alike.
  • MGR (Merry-Go-Round) System: This innovative system aims to bridge Talaipalli Coal Mine to the NTPC Lara Super Thermal Power Station (STPS), expediting coal transportation and subsequently, power generation.

Socioeconomic Repercussions

Beyond the tangible rails and concrete, these projects encapsulate a larger vision. They symbolize the country’s stride towards seamless connectivity, facilitating effortless movement of both passengers and freight traffic. This is not merely about reducing travel time; it’s about driving growth, fostering regional development, and cementing Chhattisgarh’s status as a vital node in the national network.

The Chhattisgarh East Rail Project, in particular, exemplifies this commitment. By offering optimal rail connectivity for coal transportation from the Mand-Raigarh coalfields located in Raigarh, it directly fuels the nation’s energy ambitions.

As the nation anticipates further developments under the Prime Minister’s aegis, projects like these illuminate the path, promising a future of unparalleled connectivity and prosperity.

Major Rail and Healthcare Projects Launched in Chhattisgarh: A Boost to Connectivity and Public Health

Raigarh, Chhattisgarh – In a significant move to bolster regional development, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has inaugurated various rail projects and laid the foundation for critical healthcare infrastructure in Chhattisgarh.

Expanding the Rail Network

The expansive rail development plan encompasses several key projects:

  • Pendra Road to Anuppur Rail Line: This 50 km addition, constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 516 crore, will vastly improve transit dynamics along this crucial stretch.
  • Champa to Jamga Rail Line: Spanning 98 km and incurring an expenditure of about Rs 796 crores, this rail section will further consolidate the network in the region.

These rail lines are not just tracks on the ground; they’re arteries of development and growth. They promise to augment regional connectivity, catalyze tourism, and create numerous employment opportunities, driving socioeconomic growth in the state.

  • MGR (Merry-Go-Round) System: An electrified marvel, this 65-km conduit will expedite the transport of high-quality coal from NTPC’s Talaipalli coal mine to the 1600 MW NTPC Lara Super Thermal Power Station. Built with an investment surpassing Rs 2070 crores, the MGR system is a testament to technological advancement in the realm of coal transportation.

By facilitating the generation of low-cost, dependable power from NTPC Lara, this project stands to fortify India’s energy backbone, heralding a future of sustainable and affordable power.

Revamping Healthcare Infrastructure

In tandem with these rail projects, the Prime Minister’s dedication to public health shone through with the laying of the foundation stone for the ‘critical care blocks’ in nine districts of Chhattisgarh. These districts include Durg, Kondagaon, Rajnandgaon, Gariaband, Jashpur, Surajpur, Surguja, Bastar, and Raigarh. These healthcare edifices, entailing a total expenditure of over Rs 210 crores, fall under the Pradhan Mantri – Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM).

These critical care blocks symbolize a commitment to strengthening public health and ensuring that quality healthcare reaches even the remotest corners of the country.

Collectively, these ventures reiterate the government’s unwavering dedication to holistic development, encompassing both infrastructural prowess and public welfare. The future indeed looks promising for Chhattisgarh and the nation at large.
