NOIDA (India CSR): On the 64th birth anniversary of Wave Group’s founder, Sardar Ponty Chadha, the Ponty Chadha Foundation (PCF) has launched a new initiative titled “PCF Ability Connect.” This program is designed to create sustainable employment opportunities for persons with disabilities (PwDs) by addressing the skills gap in the job market.
Bridging the Employment Gap
The PCF Ability Connect initiative focuses on mapping job roles suitable for PwDs across various industries. By collaborating with companies, the foundation aims to align the skill sets of these individuals with available job roles, ensuring they are adequately prepared for the workforce. This volunteer-driven program will also develop personalized profiles for PwDs, enhancing their employability.
Commitment to Community Upliftment
Dr. Vandana Sharma, Chairperson of Ability Connect at MBCN, emphasized the foundation’s commitment to community upliftment, stating, “Our founder, Sardar Shri Ponty Chadha Ji, believed in giving back to the community. Building on his legacy, we at MBCN and PCF are dedicated to providing every possible resource to uplift underserved sections of our society. With the launch of our Ability Connect program, I believe together we can create a more inclusive and supportive community for persons with disabilities. The PCF invites everyone to participate in this initiative and contribute in any way they can.”
Opportunities for Volunteer Participation
PCF Ability Connect encourages like-minded volunteers to join the program, providing their skills, resources, or opportunities to help PwDs achieve financial independence and dignity in their lives. The initiative reflects a broader commitment to inclusivity and aims to create a supportive environment for all individuals, regardless of their abilities.
