Madhu Nagar, Agra, PepsiCo India, along with the global food and beverage company’s philanthropic arm, the PepsiCo Foundation, in partnership with Smile Foundation and Seva Bharti initiated a meals distribution program to provide over 1.8 lakh meals to the underprivileged communities impacted by the coronavirus pandemic in Agra.
The program was jointly flagged off by Girraj Singh Dharmesh, Minister of State, Samaj Kalyan & Scheduled Tribes, Government of Uttar Pradesh; Satish Chandra Agrawal, National Joint Secretary, Rashtriya Seva Bharti and Pramod Singh Chauhan, Sah-SamparkPramukh, Braj Prantwith the support of the local Police administration.
This initiative is a part of PepsiCo’s Give Meals Give Hope global programunder which PepsiCo has committed to distribute over 10 million meals to communities most impacted by COVID-19 Outbreak. These meals are being distributed in partnership with Smile Foundation, Akshaya Patra Foundation& CII Foundation across India.
Girraj Singh Dharmesh, Minister of State, Samaj Kalyan & Scheduled Tribes, Uttar Pradesh Government, said, “We deeply value PepsiCo India’s initiative of providing meals to the underserved families in Agra.
