BENGALURU: Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Vice-Chairman, NITI Aayog will be the Chief Guest at the 12th edition of India CSR Leadership Summit, India’s largest CSR thought leadership event, to be held at Ritz-Carlton, Bengaluru on December 10, 2021. The national forum will be held from 2.30 PM to 8.30 PM.
The theme for this year’s summit is Resurgent India – Leapfrogging Development through Innovation & Entrepreneurship. The CSR flagship forum aims at deliberating on ways to leverage entrepreneurship and innovation to solve critical issues in Health, Education, Livelihoods and Environment space to make a Resurgent India.
“This year’s summit will explore a radical idea of channelizing CSR funding to support budding social enterprises to create large-scale impact,” said Rusen Kumar, Founder, India CSR Network.
He added that social enterprises lacked access to capital to scale up their solutions and there was a need for the CSR community to support scalable solutions led by social entrepreneurs.
The CSR Leadership Summit is expected to witness over 400 participants, 300-plus organisations, and 50-plus speakers from corporate, civil society, venture capital sector, start-ups, social enterprises, academia and media.
The largest CSR gathering for the year 2021 will feature some of the prominent speakers at the event including Prashant Prakash, Partner, Accel Partners; Manoj Kumar, Founder, Social Alpha; Madan Padaki, Founder & CEO, 1Bridge; Srikrishna Ramamoorthy, Partner, Unitus Capital; Nitin Rakesh, CEO, Mphasis; Anita Kumar, Head – Amazon in the Community, India CSR; and Abhishek Ranjan, Chairman, CSR & Sustainability, Southern Region, ASSOCHAM.
The key sessions to be held during the event include Transforming Non-profits for Impact at Scale; Leveraging Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship for Social and Environmental Impact and Aggregating Philanthropic Capital for Scaling up Societal Innovations.
The Summit will also host the 10th CSR Leadership Awards, which will recognize and honour outstanding and innovative CSR, Sustainability and Social Enterprise Projects and thought leadership in India.
The awards will be given under various categories, including Lifetime Achievement Award, Project of the Year, Green Leadership and CSR Professional of the Year, among others.
