Marks Breakthrough in Cricket Innovation
The first ever Fusion Cricket Premier League ®
(FCPL) successfully concluded in Pune, showcasing India’s newest result-driven cricket format. The tournament featured four competitive teams — Sunny XI, OMR Checkar Club, Ashtapailu Zorastrian, and CrickDiamond Academy — battling & bowling across 4 innings per match in a unique full-day structure called Fusion Format.
The league was inaugurated by Maharashtra Cricket Academy’s Apex Committee Member Mr. Suhas Patwardhan, who also conducted the ceremonial toss, lending prestige and encouragement to the innovative format.
After a series of competitive matches, Ashtapailu Zorastrian emerged as champions, defeating Sunny XI in the final by 7 wickets. Captains and players across all teams praised the format for its strategic depth, physical endurance, and leadership-building aspects.
