BHUBANESWAR: As India is progressing towards a Digital India, it has become imperative to ensure that the ultimate fruits of ICTs become available to all sections of people at every corner. In this regard, Elets Knowledge Exchange-Goa 2015 Summit was organized at Marriott Resort, Goa during 22-23 May 2015 to emphasize Government of India’s vision of Changing India through the Digital India Program.
National Informatics Centre, Bhubaneswar has won elets Knowledge Exchange Awards 2015 at Marriott Resort, Goa on the project e-GPF.
The award was received by Dr R N Behera, Sr. Technical Director, NIC, Odisha, Bhubaneswar from Her Excellency Governor of Goa, Smt. Mridula Sinha in presence of Shri Arun Goyal, Principal Secretary, IT Dept, Govt of Goa.
e-GPF with SMS push is an innovative application taken as pilot for Accountant General Office, Odisha, Bhubaneswar by NIC, Odisha. Nearly 3 Lac State Govt. Employees are benefitted out of this project. Each State Government employees are now getting their e-Statement of Annual GPF and they can download and print the same.
Whenever there is any transaction in their account either credit or debit, instantly an SMS alert is pushed to their registered mobile phone. By this way any misplacement of GPF is instantly traced and accordingly the Government Employee can register a complain to AG Office for redressal. Ms Reema Prakash, AG(A&E) is quite happy on this award and congratulate teh team for tthis innovative effort.
