New Delhi – Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) will give technical support to the Ministry of Ayush (MOA) for planning and development of the AYUSH GRID Project, a government release said.
The Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (MOA) today (2 Jul) signed an agreement with MeitY for collaborating with each other for digitization of AYUSH Sector.
The move is in pursuance to the National Health Policy 2017, the AYUSH ministry will be digitising the entire AYUSH leading to improve government’s health delivery system. The digitisation move is also likley to promote greater research and education and ensure better drug regulations.
MeitY is already leading various health initiatives like e-Hospital, e-Aushadhi, e-Rakt Kosh, Online Registration System (ORS) and e-Shushrut for digitising the internal workflows and processes of hospitals.
MeitY has also sponsored a number of R&D projects for development of Medical Electronics Devices and Systems such as Medical and Imaging equipment, establishing centre of excellence in medical electronics, MeitY Secretary Ajay Prakash Sawhney said at the signing of the MoU.
MeitY has also launched an online information guide called Vikaspedia, a portal for the various social sectors including Health and it offers information in 23 languages, he added.
