New Delhi – Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has launched yet another innovative concept to upgrade the skills and capabilities of employees at its vendors. The ‘Skill on Wheels’ mobile training center will reach out to its vendors located across Delhi-NCR region to impart training, to their employees, the company said.
The initiative will skill additional 1,500 vendors, employees to benefit over next one year.
It will provide training in areas of preventive and predictive maintenance, low-cost automation, and energy management. Additionally, the facility is equipped to provide training in safety, quality, and soft skills.
“Our vendors will value this training facility at their doorstep and benefit from this initiative”, Kenichi Ayukawa, MD & CEO, said.
By the of March, Maruti Center for Excellence has trained over 70,000 employees of vendor partners, resulting in over 90,000 man-days of training. The training initiative has benefited over 740 Maruti Suzuki suppliers spread across the country.
