New Delhi: The recently announced Budget 2023 has received positive reviews from various social sector leaders. Dr. Payal Kanodia, Trustee of the M3M Foundation, has also expressed her support for the budget, highlighting its focus on inclusive development, green growth, and empowering the youth.
In her statement, Dr. Kanodia emphasized the increase in allocation for school education and the launch of the National Digital Library for children, both of which will greatly benefit the education sector. The establishment of 30 Skill India International Centres across the country to help young people secure international opportunities was also highlighted as a significant development.

The announcements in various fields, such as tax relief, education improvements, and focus research and development, are encouraging. The increase in allocation for school education from Rs 63,449 crore (Budget Estimate) in 2022-23 to Rs 68,804 crore in 2023-24 is a welcome step for the education sector.
Dr. Kanodia also welcomed the introduction of the ‘Mahila Samman Saving Certificate’ for women, which offers a fixed interest rate of 7.5% over a period of two years. This move, she believes, will play a key role in shaping India into a stronger and growing economy in the future.
