Global humanitarian and peace advocate honoured for his outstanding contributions to social service and peace-building
BHUBANESWAR (India CSR): Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala, Executive Director of Wockhardt Limited, CEO of Wockhardt Foundation, and Founder of the I AM PEACEKEEPER Movement, was awarded the Honorary Doctor of Letters (D.Litt. – Honoris Causa) by KIIT Deemed to be University at its 21st Convocation held today in Bhubaneswar.
Dr. Khorakiwala was invited to the prestigious platform in recognition of his exemplary work in global humanitarian service, healthcare access, and peace advocacy.
His leadership in championing social causes and creating platforms that unite people for harmony and justice has earned him this distinguished honour.
Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala said, “It is a privilege to be recognised by KIIT University with this honorary degree. This honour belongs not just to me, but to everyone working tirelessly for peace, compassion, and the well-being of humanity.”
The convocation, held on September 26, 2025, at the KIIT University campus, was attended by distinguished academicians, dignitaries, and students. Nobel Laureate Prof. Mohan Munasinghe graced the occasion as Chief Guest, alongside Ashok Kumar Parija, Chancellor of KIIT University, Prof. N.L. Mitra, Professor Emeritus and Former Chancellor, and Prof. Saranjit Singh, Vice Chancellor. The event celebrated the achievements of graduating students and honoured individuals making meaningful contributions to society.
KIIT University, based in Bhubaneswar, is recognised as one of India’s premier institutions known for its commitment to academic excellence and social impact.
