MUMBAI: Ketto – Asia’s largest visited and most trusted crowdfunding platform and Rotary Club of Bombay Bay View – World renowned for its social work initiatives together are raising funds for families of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel martyred in the suicide attack in Pulwama, Kashmir. The campaign is titled as, “Lets Salute and Support 40 CRPF Brave heart’s Families of Pulwama Terror Attack”
All funds raised from this campaign will be donated to the Families of CRPF personnel martyred in the suicide attack in Pulwama, Kashmir. The raised funds will go to the CRPF via BharatkeVeer Corpus Fund and Ketto has waived off its fee for this campaign. Ketto and Rotary Club both are requesting all citizens and the Good Samaritans to join this battle and gather pledges or contribute for this cause.
In a first major militant attack in 3 years, a massive explosion targeted a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy on Thursday afternoon, killing several CRPF Personnel and wounding several others. Jaish-e-Mohammad has claimed responsibility for the attack and identified the bomber as a local militant. Sources say that the attack was likely carried out by a suicide bomber, who rammed an explosive-laden car into the CRPF bus.
Police state that the terrorist was named Adil Ahmad from Kakapora in Pulwama who joined the JeM in 2018. Over 20 people were injured in the terror attack, which reduced the bus to a mangled heap of iron. CRPF Inspector General in Kashmir Valley Zulfiqar Hasan described it as a “vehicle bound attack” and said Jammu & Kashmir Police has taken up the further investigation.
