PUNE: KarmaKonsum- Germany’s leading business community promoting the concept of Lifestyles Of Health And Sustainability (LOHAS) and genuine CSR initiatives–is hosting its 8th conference for the first time internationally in Pune, India in partnership with INDI Design. The two day conference focussing on business innovations and marketing trends for sustainable development will kick off with the KarmaKonsum Start-Up awards which will be given to Indian entrepreneurs for the very first time.

KarmaKonsum is currently accepting submissions by eco-social start-ups looking for a potent platform for appreciation, international visibility and support by industry leaders.

The KarmaKonsum Start-Up award promotes eco­social entrepreneurial ventures and was awarded for the first time in 2009 in Frankfurt. The aim of this award is to provide entrepreneurs with a support system to develop and grow along with connecting them with relevant industry contacts.The award entails a range of services which will ensure support and growth of the winning business proposal in various tangible and intangible ways. The business proposals will be judged by a jury consisting of pioneers within the fields of sustainability and eco-social consciousness. (View complete list of jury members here)

The KarmaKonsum Start­Up Award is supported by the Indian Start­Up Network and is implemented in cooperation with the Indo­German Chamber of Commerce.

KarmaKonsum 2014 now open for registration, invites people to avail of the special ‘early bird’ discount by registering before 31st January 2014.

KarmaKonsum – Germany’s leading business community promoting the concept of ‘Lifestyles Of Health And Sustainability’ (LOHAS) and genuine CSR initiatives – is hosting its 8th conference for the first time internationally in Pune, India in partnership with INDI Design. The two day conference scheduled on the 6 – 7 March 2014 will focus on business innovations and marketing trends for sustainable development.

The passes for the event are currently up for sale and participants can avail of an ‘early bird’ discount by registering before 31 January 2014. The pass includes entry to both days of the conference which will see a plethora of activities relating to eco-social consciousness and sustainability. Participants will be able to witness the KarmaKonsum Start-Up award show which will showcase the best of eco-social start-ups on a single platform, followed by industry leaders and pioneers sharing their thoughts and experiences with the audience (see the complete list of speakers here).They will also be able to participate in the ‘Camp’ which will include a range of community participation exercises and workshops to plan and execute sustainable ideas through productive brainstorming. They will also gain entry to the ‘Expo’ which will exhibit a wide range of options of sustainable and organic products and services.

Registration cost after the ‘early bird discount’ shall be INR 8000 for the two day event, if registered before 31st January 2014. Registration cost after the said date shall be INR 12000.
