Mukteshwar (Uttarakhand): In a collaborative effort between The Hyphen and Chap Foundation, the Kala Bhitoli Festival is set to paint Dhanachuli, Mukteshwar with the vibrant colours of art and culture on October 20th and 21st, 2023.
This two-day extravaganza will serve as a captivating window into the rich heritage and traditions of Uttarakhand, making it a must-attend event for residents and tourists alike.
Part of the Samudaay Mela series, the Kala Bhitoli Festival is dedicated to showcasing India’s cultural diversity. The festival promises an array of cultural treats, including an Art & Craft Exhibition and competeition, mesmerizing mural art, traditional folk dances, cultural performances, storytelling sessions and a fashion show featuring traditional attire from Uttarakhand.
Adding to its cultural richness, the festival will host an artisans’ paradise, where visitors can delve into the world of traditional and contemporary art, crafts, and textiles. Skilled artisans will be on hand to demonstrate their techniques.
Beyond the cultural revelry, Kala Bhitoli will also feature a series of discussions cantered on sustainable tourism and environmental conservation. The festival is committed to leveraging art as a tool for addressing pressing socio-environmental issues.
