Jubilant Bhartia Foundation in collaboration with HP Inc. India today flagged off Muskaan Mobile Digital Learning project aimed at providing access to digital learning opportunities to students across 200 Govt schools of India.
“The project is jointly supported as part of HP Imagine grant and Jubilant Bhartia Group CSR and would be implemented through fleet of 40 youths being engaged as Muskaan Fellows’ (Digi Mitra)”, Vivek Prakash, Jubilant Bhartia Group CSR head informed India CSR.
These 40 Digi Mitra’s are being further enrolled in executive MBA with a Skill University and each Digi Mitra would be assigned a cluster of 5 Government Schools where they would make visits on rotational basis (1 school each day of the week).
In the first year of the project, 80,000 students across 200 Govt schools would be benefitted with access to Industry best digital course content further helping them with improved learning level outcomes and skill sets. Going forward, there are plans to have additional 600 schools added in the program benefitting close to additional 240,000 students.
Key features of the program are:
Graduate youth (young fellows) having Bike/Motorcycle selected by Jubilant Bhartia Foundation will be provided an opportunity to do MBA (PG Diploma in Marketing & Entrepreneurship).
Each selected youth will further help cluster of 5 Govt. Schools selected by Foundation to improve the quality of education through mobile digital kit comprising of HP X360 Convertible Laptop with Stylus, pre-loaded curated e content, HP mini speakers, projector and an HP Tab.
The above kit would be kept inside a modified case mounted on the Bike of the Digi Mitra, which they would carry across 5 Govt. Schools identified by the Foundation in a week on rotational basis. (One entire day in one Govt School).
In the first year, 40 Muskaan Fellows will cover 200 Govt. Schools across India, influencing close to 80,000 students.
At the year-end, 40 digital kits will be awarded to the 40 best performing Govt. schools and in next 5 years, all 200 schools will get their own digital kit.
Young Muskaan fellow will successfully complete 2 year MBA course and new batch of the fellows will be taken after 2 years.
Subsequently, 200 new schools would be added every year into the program.
Flag-off at Gajraula
Muskaan Fellows (Digi Mitra), a digital learning programme aimed at creating Digitalised Modern classrooms at Government Schools for students to learn flagged-off at Gajraula in Uttar Pradesh where company has manufacturing facilities.
On 25th September 2019 by S.S. Bhartia, Founder and Chairman; S Sridhar, Director; Sudha Pillai, Director; Sushil Kumar Roongta, Director; Priyavrat Bhartia, Director; Arjun Shanker Bhartia, Director; Rajesh Kumar Srivastava, CEO; Anant Pande, Director and other dignitaries of Jubilant Life Sciences Ltd flagged off Muskaan Fellows (Digi Mitra) at Gajraula with 12 youths in 60 Schools and impacting 12000 students through digital learning.
These youths are enrolled in executive MBA with a skill university and each one of them will be provided 5 Government School Student and they will visit these schools on rotational basis.
