Commemorating World Environment Day with the theme ‘Beat Air Pollution’, it organised a mini marathon and plantation programme at the pellet plant premises at Barbil.
More than 200 participants from various age groups took part in the ‘Run for clean air’. Holding placards bearing slogans like “Be fair, don’t pollute air”, the children took pledge and showed their determination to save the environment.
JSPL Angul also celebrated the World Environment Day with a host of activities to mark the occasion. The Environment Management Department organised a series of Drawing, Essay and Quiz competitions on the theme of environment protection and mitigation of air pollution.
School students, house wives and employees took part in the competitions and the winners were also felicitated with certificate of merit and trophies.
