NEW DELHI: Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL), part of OP Jindal Group, has reached a milestone, celebrating its 30th anniversary.
The journey of OP Jindal, founder of group, undertook at Raigarh in Chhattisgarh way back in the year 1989 has traversed on a growth path for last 30 years. The journey has come a long way, starting with laying of foundation of a 0.3 MTPA DRI plat at Raigarh to a multi-location steel and power business.
The current size and scale of its capacity spanning 11 MTPA steel and 5034 MW power generation.
The Company’s strength lies in its state-of-the-art manufacturing prowess, spanning the Indian states of Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand, as well as Oman.
In a letter sent to employees, Naveen Jindal, Chairman of JSPL thanked employees and their families for being a valuable part of JSPL’s journey of Building India, Empowering Lives.
As per its Annual Report – 2017-18, in the first quarter of FY 2018-19, which saw JSPL report a consolidated net profit of Rs. 110 crore after 14 consecutive loss-making quarters.
