BHUBANESWAR : Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL) Angul has been awarded with Naxatra Award of Excellence – 2015 in the category of ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ by leading multilingual news channel of Odisha Naxatra News. Executive Director & Head of JSPL’s Angul Unit Mr. Dinesh Kumar Saraogi received the award from Hon’ble Mr. Justice Laxmi Kanta Mohapatra, Chief Justice of Manipur High Court, in presence of MP (Bhubaneswar) Dr. Prasanna Kumar Patasani, Industries Minister of Odisha Mr. Debi Prasad Mishra, Higher Education Minister of Odisha Mr. Pradeep Panigrahi, Bhubaneswar (North) MLA Mr. Priyadarshi Mishra, MLA of Berhmapur Dr. Ramesh Chandra Chyau Patnaik, Chairman of Naxatra News Er. Prabhat Ranjan Mallick and Editor-in-Chief of Naxatra News Mr. Prasanna Mohanty on the occasion of 6th Anniversary of Naxatra News held at Bhubanehswar.
JSPL has been conferred with this award for its contribution to socio-economic development of Odisha. Mr. Saraogi, after receiving the award said, “I am very thankful to the support extended by the Government and People of Odisha as well as guidance of Chairman of JSPL Mr. Naveen Jindal”. He also thanked Naxtra News for the Award.
The Company is building a 6MTPA integrated Steel Plant at Angul. It has already completed 6MTPA Steel making capacity. As a socially responsible corporate organization, the Company has taken up several socio-economic projects for improving quality of life of people, especially in its periphery area. Recently JSPL, Odisha Units have received several coveted awards such as the Golden Peacock CSR Award, GreenTech Platinum Awards on CSR & HR and GreenTech Award for Environment. Last Year Mr. Saraogi was presented with ‘Odisha INC Best CEO Award’ and ‘Corporate Leadership Award’.
