ODISHA :Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. (JSPL) Angul, celebrated the National Safety Day today at its plant premises in Angul. Angul Location Head and Executive Director (I/C) Mr. Dinesh Kumar Saraogi hoisted the safety flag and flagged-off of a Suraksha Rath. The main motto of this Safety campaign is to sensitize its employees, workers, commuters and transporters of the Company regarding safety and its paramount importance in the day-to-day life. Other Senior functionaries of the Company who steered the event were Mr. Damodar Mittal, Factory Head and HoD DRI & SMS;Mr. S.K.Agarwal Sr.VP-Commercial,Mr. A.N.Tiwari, VP-CGP, Mr. Kaushalendra Singh, AVP-HSE; Mr. B.B Pradhan, AVP-HR; Mr. JLN Mruty, AVP-Civil; Mr. B.P Singh, GM-Safety; Mr. Asish Pandey, DGM-PMG and other.
Solemnizing the Safety Oath ,Mr. Saraogi, said, “The governing philosophy in our operational domain is ‘Zero-Harm’ we all are here to give our sweat and skill for which we need to maintain the highest safety measures . JSPL follows the safety norms of global standard and ensures its 100% adherence of the precautionary measures to save its employees, fellow workmen and their families”
Some of the Activities of the National Safety Day included display of safety messages in the Plant and Labour Colony , distribution of leaflets, organizing safety related competition among school students and workers with the culture to strengthen the safety culture within the organization. The Safety Rath called as Surakhya Rath will travel all around the Plant for a week and educate the importance of safety and its requirement.
