ANGUL (India CSR): To honour the legacy of O.P. Jindal Ji (Bauji), visionary and founder of the O.P. Jindal Group, the employees of Jindal Steel and its stakeholders voluntarily participated in a blood donation camp held today on the eve of his 95th birth anniversary. The initiative aimed to support emergency medical needs by contributing this vital resource to the community, aligned with the mission of Zero Deaths for the Medical Need of Human Blood.
Camp Inauguration Ceremony
Damodar Mittal, Executive Director – Projects, inaugurated the camp at Hostel 3, Jindal Township, in the presence of Swami Satyabindu Saraswati Ji, Dilip Kumar Sinha, CHRO, Dr. Satyabrata Patjoshi, In-Charge, Odisha Blood Bank DHH Angul, Jayant Mohanty, HoD CSR – Angul, and other dignitaries.

Message From Leadership
Addressing the gathering, Mittal said, “I take pride in the fact that our organization consistently ranks among the top contributors to blood collection in Angul region. As a regular donor myself, I feel fulfilled to be part of such camps. It is truly an honour to be part of the Jindal legacy, as Bauji always advised us to serve the community as much as we can. Beyond our regular CSR activities, we feel genuinely happy to support the community through such noble efforts.” He commended the donors for their selfless participation in this humanitarian initiative and encouraged continued involvement in such noble causes.

Blood Donation Success
The voluntary blood donation camp, organised by Jindal Foundation in collaboration with Odisha Blood Bank, DHH Angul, successfully collected 357 units of blood to serve humanity.

O.P. Jindal, hailing from a humble farming background, rose to become a visionary industrialist and philanthropist. With a dream of building a self-reliant India, he established the O.P. Jindal Group, now one of the country’s leading industrial conglomerates. For his outstanding contributions to the Indian steel industry, he was honoured with the prestigious “Lifetime Achievement Award” by the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He also served as a Member of the Haryana State Legislature, Member of Parliament, and as Minister of Power in the Government of Haryana.
