Despite the presence of comprehensive systems like the Anti-Sexual Harassment Initiative (ASHI) and Internal Committee (IC), the 2022-23 financial year saw a significant surge in reported cases of both sexual harassment and workplace discrimination.

Anti-Sexual Harassment Initiative
Infosys, a company celebrated for its commitment to providing a safe, open, and empowering workplace environment, now faces serious scrutiny due to the alarming increase in these complaints. Despite the presence of the Anti-Sexual Harassment Initiative (ASHI) and the Internal Committee (IC), the numbers tell a different story.
The rise in the number of sexual harassment and workplace discrimination incidents not only draws attention to the ineffectiveness of the current preventive measures but also necessitates urgent introspection. It’s evident that a significant overhaul of the existing systems is required.
The company is urged to revisit their current protocols and strategies to not only address the existing cases effectively but also put in place stronger deterrents that can prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. The emphasis needs to be on creating a secure environment that upholds Infosys’ commitment to the safety and empowerment of its employees.
