NEW DELHI: IOCL Petrol Pump at Link Road in Jangpura has installed an eToilet, which will provide relief to the travelers to the IOCL outlet.
The eToilet was inaugurated by Sajjan Kumar, Executive Director of IOCL, Delhi ad Haryana, on Monday. Sanjeev Sharma, General Manager, Sales and Retail, also attended the function.
The eToilet, sponsored by IOCL as part of its CSR activity under Swacch Bharat, is also connected to DRDO’x bio-digester for onsite treatment of waste.
“We are proud to be associated with IOCL, one the most prestigious Navratna companies in India and be a part of the revolution in the sanitation sector. The eToilets installed would address the sanitation issues and provide world-class sanitation facilities to the travellers visiting the IOCL outlet. We thank IOCL for making this possible by installing eToilets under their CSR activity. The unmanned operations and the mobile app which helps to locate the nearest eToilets is heralding a new sanitation solution for IOCL,” said Narayana Swamy S, Director, Eram Scientific Solutions, the manufacturer of eToilets.
Since the pre-fabricated modular public toilets are made of stainless steel feature self-cleaning mechanism, there is no need for 24*7 manual supervision or regular manual upkeep. The eToilets feature automatic pre-flush and after-flush, automatic platform cleaning, and LED indications and have GPRS-enabled remote monitoring capabilities for online tracking of entry and usage of every user.
The eToilet easily gels with the ambience of the outlet with its robust metallic finish. Though the eToilet has sensor-based technology, the user can use it with the same ease of using a normal toilet. The technology is integrated in the backend to optimize the use of resources and to ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the toilet after every use. Also, the user has no encounter with any electronic interfaces in order to use eToilet.
The e-toilets are programmed to turn on the lights and fan when a user enters, flush 1.5 litres of water after the first three minutes and 4.5 litres after a little longer and clean the floor after every ten users. Eram Scientific has established over 2000 eToilets across 19 states in India and has won over 43 awards and recognitions for its innovation in the sanitation sector.
Eram’s e-toilets have remote monitoring capabilities with electrical, mechanical and web-mobile technologies incorporated. The entry, usage, and cleaning of e-toilets are remote-controlled and monitored.
