RAIGARH: IndiaCSR has been focused at pioneering and recognizing the best practices in the area of corporate social responsibility in India furthering community initiatives.

IndiaCSR has been focused at inviting the best practices in the area of CSR in different parts of India. The awards have been conceptualized to recognize the best practices in the area of CSR done by various individuals, groups and organizations in different states of India.

IndiaCSR is glad to express its deep sense of gratitude to the various leading organizations which have shown wholehearted response to the IndiaCSR community initiative awards.

The CSR awards were envisioned to give a catalytic boost to the CSR movement in India. The corporate world in India is doing remarkable contributions in the fields of education, health and various other areas to achieve their goals and objectives in CSR domain.

The process of evaluation at IndiaCSR is very professional and is followed meticulously by a team of seasoned professionals to ensure fairness and integrity of the highest order. The entire objective of the CSR community initiative awards is to motivate more and more corporates to contribute to the community development initiatives.

This award function shall be a historic milestone in the CSR domain and shall be a consistent source of inspiration to individuals, teams and organizations to deliver their best in the CSR domain.

The organizations have understood the changing regulatory mechanisms and are gearing up their CSR activities to ensure that the CSR activities are being done ensuring total compliance to the various regulatory norms and regulations to ensure maximum impact on the community. The awards are oriented towards acknowledging the leading corporate entities who left the impact on the sands of time in various community initiatives.

The vision of the initiative is to identify and recognize the corporate best practices of ongoing Corporate Responsibility initiatives in various domains in the country. And the mission of the initiative is to inspire, encourage, and facilitate corporate social responsibility awareness and practices among corporate India.

The Awards is an endeavour to promote reporting and communication in the CSR domain in our country. It is a milestone and an iconic event that acknowledges the unique and extraordinary contributions in the CSR domain. This is a premium honour that recognizes the most admired and outstanding CSR initiatives and ventures in India. The awards acknowledge the noble contributions in the CSR domain that are raising benchmarks by bringing radical and transformative change in the development arena through innovation and excellence.

We believe that companies need to adopt effective CSR communication strategies and process documentation which directly or indirectly improve better communication across all stakeholders resulting in better branding and recognition.

There are some excellent initiatives being undertaken by some of the major companies or industry units. These compare well with those of the best in other parts of the country. While there is need to compliment and reward those who are actively CSR savvy, there is greater need to inculcate confidence in the society that the company does not only care for business but also believes in the exaltation, empowerment and amelioration of the society around it.

Case studies are also good for academic purpose. A good CSR case study must be taught in class room level of professional courses. I feel that we are lacking in documenting CSR case stories for academic purpose. We need to improve our CSR communication and documentation planning and process. We need to train CSR and Communication professionals to write and develop a world class case stories of the CSR projects. I also believe that we must organize capacity building programmes for CSR professionals on developing good CSR case studies.

CSR is evolving and relatively newer subject in comparison with other subjects like marketing or manufacturing, and goes as per the company laws. It is a new profession so we need literatures. The literatures will help in establishing CSR as a profession and a separate sector.

The overall objective of this initiative is to give higher visibility to excellent practices in the field of CSR and to share such practices across the India.
