When the government imposes legal regulations, the users have found a way. They will access offshore online casinos to enjoy their favorite sort of entertainment.

With the prominent development of online casinos in India, it has become a hub for gambling conducted on the internet. The market is highly competitive, offering a wide array of games for the players. But why have online sites gained huge popularity among the Indian players? In this post, we explain why the market is attractive.

The legal regulations

As with every other country, India has a large number of casino enthusiasts. However, things are quite different out there. In India, the state regulates the gambling market, meaning that there are no land-based options available. With this, the gamblers look for other ways to access their favorite entertainment options. When the players don’t have land-based cairns available, they will turn to online sites like Bettingguru.

When the government imposes legal regulations, the users have found a way. They will access offshore online casinos to enjoy their favorite sort of entertainment. These casinos are based in a foreign country and offer their service worldwide, and aren’t covered by Indian laws. In fact, the regulations existed long before the internet was invented. Since then, the laws haven’t been updated to match the modern innovations and changes in the industry.

The casino industry yields huge profits, which go to the offshore sites. Since gambling is a highly profitable industry, it is yet unclear why the government doesn’t ease up the regulations. With this, India is losing 150 million dollars annually. The regulation of gambling sites won’t only satisfy the players. The casino industry will open many new job positions, which will increase the economic power of the country. The unemployed individuals will easily land a job within the growing industry.

Access through mobile apps

The use of smartphones has become mainstream in India. The phones are available within a wide range of budgets, so anyone can find the ideal fit for their needs. On the other hand, the price for internet connectivity is lowered. With affordable smartphones and an internet connection, the Indians have easier access to the online gambling marketplace. India is the second country in the whole world for internet use. Therefore the layers have found an easy way to access their favorite games from the comfort of their own home.

Many options available

The Indian gambling market caters to the users’ needs. Slots might be the most popular game worldwide. However, card games like Bahar Andar and Patti Teen are prominent in India. The casino apps provide a rich visual experience and recreate the real feel. These games are popular and widely available within offshore casinos. Rummy is another game popular among Indian players, but it isn’t widely offered. The ones that are new to casino games usually prefer simpler games like baccarat. With this, they can experience the casino games better before starting playing.

Final thoughts

The rich landscape of the gambling market in India is a result of various factors. Smartphones have become mainstream due to their affordability. With this, the industry will grow in the future.
