UDAIPUR (India CSR): During his recent visit to Jawar Mines on Thursday, Jasmeet Singh Sandhu, the District Collector of Salumbar, praised Hindustan Zinc for its substantial contribution to rural development through its various CSR initiatives. He highlighted the company’s noteworthy projects in women’s empowerment and providing opportunities for rural athletes.
During his interaction with the locals, Sandhu encouraged them to leverage various government schemes, including the Public Participation Scheme, which combines government and community contributions for rural projects. He also applauded the initiative to make Jawar Mines free from plastic waste.
In his address, Sandhu underscored the company’s impactful CSR projects, which he reviewed through a detailed presentation by Hindustan Zinc. He praised initiatives like the Sakhi project, which boosts women’s confidence and their significant role in the progress of family, society, and the nation.
Additionally, the District Collector visited the Mahadev Ki Nal and Ramnagar State Schools, where he participated in tree plantation drives in the school premises. He also toured the world-class Zinc Football Academy operated by Hindustan Zinc, where he spoke with players and coaches, commending the academy’s support for football training.
The event was attended by key figures including the IBU-CEO of Jawar Group of Mines, Ram Murari, Head of External Liaison Abhimanyu Ranawat, CSR Lead Neha Diwan, Chief Security Officer Vijay Pareek, and Admin Head Gajanand Gupta.
