Udaipur: Hindustan Zinc started the project of ‘Fatehsagar lake’ in association with Urban Improvement Trust (UIT) for the conservation of water in Udaipur.
Sustainability has always been the core value of Hindustan Zinc and saving water has always been a focus area of the organization.
Based on the suggestion of ‘Jheel Sarankshan Samiti’ to the Udaipur Collector, the company initiated a programme of developing the mounds in the lake where migratory birds can safely breed as well as it would be helpful for the bio diversity of the lake.
The Hindustan Zinc’s Corp Affairs, Environment Operation Health along with UIT officers planted the trees including Peepal, Arjun, Morsali, Badh, Ficus on the developed 8-10 mounds inside the lake, as these plants can grow faster with minimum care.
Inspection of project site was conducted on the World Environment Day in presence of Governing Administration Body, the members of Urban Improvement Trust, Jheel Sankrashan Samiti and Hindustan Zinc.
