UDAIPUR (India CSR): Hindustan Zinc Limited, India’s largest and the world’s second-largest integrated zinc producer, is set to captivate visitors at the upcoming Rajasthan Global Business Expo, a key event of the prestigious Rising Rajasthan summit. From December 9 to 11, the Jaipur Exhibition & Convention Centre will become a vibrant hub of innovation and opportunity, where Hindustan Zinc’s Stall No. 9 in Hall B promises to be a major highlight.

VR Experience & Women Engineers

One of the star attractions at the stall will be an immersive virtual reality (VR) training experience, offering a thrilling glimpse into the operations of world-class machinery deep underground. Visitors can explore state-of-the-art technologies that enhance safety and efficiency in mining, minimizing manual intervention and showcasing the future of the industry. Also, the visitors will get a chance to interact with some of the India’s first women mining engineers who are breaking barriers in the industry. 

Product Portfolio & Energy Transition

Hindustan Zinc will also showcase its diverse product portfolio, which plays a pivotal role in supporting the global energy transition and contributes to India’s vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat. Attendees can also discover the ores that power modern life, including those from Zawar, one of the world’s oldest and most fascinating zinc mining sites, located in Udaipur district. They will also experience Vedanta Group company Cairn Oil & Gas’ interesting displays on their tech-innovations to provide India vital energy security.

Storybook Exhibit & Game-Zone

Visitors can also explore a special storybook exhibit, on the inspiring journey of the company’s evolution and transformative impact in Rajasthan. The Game-Zone will feature a VR-based football game simulation, as an interactive way to acknowledge Hindustan Zinc’s state-of-the-art Zinc Football Academy which has been nurturing young football talent in Rajasthan since 2018. 

Interactive Tech & Zincky the Robot

Adding a touch of fun and interactivity, Zincky the robot will delight visitors by capturing their photographs and creating memorable moments. Zincky is expected to be a crowd favourite, engaging guests and leaving them with unique keepsakes from the event. The stall will also feature interactive games and tech-driven experiences, designed to both educate and entertain. From virtual tours of Hindustan Zinc’s mines and smelters to explorations of the ores fuelling modern innovation, there’s something for everyone. Each experience highlights Hindustan Zinc’s commitment to innovation and its role in driving the global energy transition.

Artisanal Heritage & Community Initiatives

Beyond technology, Hindustan Zinc’s exhibit will celebrate India’s rich artisanal heritage. Live handicraft-making by women artisans from Hindustan Zinc’s community development programmes will showcase their craftsmanship and the artistry of Rajasthan, offering visitors unique takeaways that honour this legacy. These efforts reflect the company’s commitment to women’s empowerment and preserving cultural traditions in rural Rajasthan. The stall will also showcase NandGhar (modernized aangandwadi), part of Vedanta’s flagship community welfare initiative aimed at holistic development of children through education & nutrition and women through skilling. 

Industry Announcement & Future Plans

As the summit progresses, Hindustan Zinc is preparing for a major announcement that is set to redefine the zinc industry and solidify Rajasthan’s position as a global leader in metals and minerals. This milestone will underscore Hindustan Zinc’s role as a catalyst for innovation and economic growth in the state. Global Leadership & Sustainability

Hindustan Zinc, a Vedanta Group company, is the world’s second-largest integrated zinc producer and the third-largest silver producer. Hindustan Zinc has been recognized as the world’s most sustainable company in the metals and mining category by the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment 2023, reflecting its operational excellence, innovation, and leading ESG practices. The company also launched EcoZen, Asia’s first low carbon ‘green’ zinc brand. Produced using renewable energy, EcoZen has a carbon footprint of less than 1 tonne of carbon equivalent per tonne of zinc produced, about 75% lower than the global average. Hindustan Zinc is also a certified 2.41 times Water-Positive company and is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050 or sooner. As a world leader in the metals and mining industry, Hindustan Zinc is pivotal in providing critical metals essential for the global energy transition towards a sustainable future.
