Hindalco Industries CSR Spending Report of Rs 160.99 Crore for FY25

A complete breakdown of healthcare, education, and village development spending across India

NEW DELHI (India CSR): Hindalco Industries Limited has shared its CSR report for 2025. The report highlights how the company supported communities across India. It shows a strong commitment toward social responsibility. The company spent Rs 160.99 crore on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities this year. This amount reflects serious planning and long term vision. The funds were used for health, education, and livelihoods. Many rural and tribal families benefited from these programs. The company focused on poor and marginalized communities. Special attention was given to remote villages. Healthcare services reached people in far off regions. Schools received support for better learning facilities. Youth received skill training for better jobs. Women joined livelihood programs to earn stable incomes. Infrastructure projects improved roads and sanitation in villages. The report clearly shows transparent spending practices. It also highlights partnerships with government schemes. Hindalco aims to create lasting social impact. The company believes growth must include everyone. This CSR spending shows care beyond business profits.

A Detailed Breakdown of CSR Spending

The total spend for social work was exactly Rs 160.99 crore. Hindalco India standalone operations used Rs 64.33 crore for local projects. They moved Rs 54 crore to a special unspent CSR account. This money is saved for their very big ongoing social projects. Together these two amounts total a spend of Rs 118.33 crore. Subsidiaries of Hindalco spent another Rs 42.41 crore this fiscal year. They also helped get Rs 96.29 crore from various government schemes. This combined money makes a huge difference in many rural villages. Total community spend reached a massive sum of Rs 235.38 crore. This includes the work done by their global subsidiary called Novelis.

Providing Better Healthcare for All

Healthcare is a very top priority for Hindalco and its team. They spent Rs 12.55 crore on health for their standalone units. Subsidiaries spent another Rs 16.55 crore to help many sick people. Over one million people got medical help from these great efforts. Their clinics and hospitals provide high quality care in remote villages. They also gave polio drops to many thousands of small children. Most beneficiaries are happy with the very efficient local hospital services. Mobile health vans bring doctors to people in very far places. They also help mothers and small babies stay very healthy today. Sanitation programs help stop the spread of many bad diseases now.

Investing in a Brighter Quality Education

Every child deserves a chance to go to a good school. Hindalco spent Rs 31.32 crore on education at its Indian units. Their subsidiary companies added another Rs 5.29 crore for local students. They provide school buses and good books to many tribal children. Many programs help girls stay in school and learn very well. Digital literacy classes prepare young students for a modern global future. They also help students study for very hard competitive Indian exams. Many school buildings were fixed and made much better for kids. Teachers receive training to provide a better quality of learning now. Scholarships help bright students go to college and find great success.

Creating Sustainable Livelihoods for Families

Creating jobs helps families lead happy and very healthy lives today. Standalone operations spent Rs 6.40 crore on many livelihood plans now. Subsidiaries spent another Rs 6.61 crore to create many new jobs. They trained over two thousand women in modern village tailoring units. Farmers learned how to get more crops from their own land. Many young people learned skills to find work in big cities. This work helps people become very strong and also self reliant. Project Wadi helps tribal farmers grow many healthy fruit trees today. Goat rearing units give landless families a way to earn money. People can now lead lives of great dignity and also respect.

Building Better Village Roads and Houses

Good buildings and roads make a village very strong and safe. Hindalco spent Rs 3.97 crore on new local village infrastructure projects. Their subsidiaries invested Rs 11.38 crore in building many more projects. They built new roads and community centers for the local people. Over two lakh people now have better access to basic resources. New sanitation facilities help keep every village clean and also safe. Safe drinking water is now available to many remote village families. They also built homes and culverts to improve daily village life. These projects help the local economy grow much faster than before. Hindalco aims to be a partner in building a better nation.

Helping People in Aspirational Districts

Hindalco works in special areas called India’s very top aspirational districts. They spent Rs 19.32 crore in the Sonbhadra district alone now. Singrauli district received Rs 2.39 crore for its local social growth. Districts in Jharkhand got Rs 5.15 crore for many community needs. Raigarh district in Chhattisgarh received a sum of Rs 2.35 crore. These districts are very important for the future of our country. Total spend in these areas was more than Rs 29 crore. This money helps people who need extra support and also care. The company stays focused on the most underserved areas nationwide today. Their work brings hope to millions of people in these districts.

Reaching People in the Most Remote Places

Some Hindalco factories are located in very far and remote areas. The company ensures these places are not left behind today now. They bring modern doctors and medicines to these small rural villages. Mobile health vans travel to help people in the far hills. Even the smallest village can get help from the company team. They work in places like Jharkhand and the high Odisha hills. No one is too far for their care and also support. Their social projects reach over twenty four different units nationwide today. This work covers twelve states across the whole of great India. They want every citizen to have a better quality of life.

Empowering Indian Youth with New Skills

Young people in India need good skills to get better jobs. Hindalco has special centers to train youth in many trades today. They learn about computers and many big industrial machines as well. These skills help them start their own very small local businesses. Many students find jobs in big cities after this great training. They are the future leaders of our very great country now. Hindalco is proud to help them reach their own big dreams. Vocational training closes the gap for many local unemployed youth now. The Aditya Birla Skills Centre is a main hub for learning. This training helps young people build a much better life today.

Providing Healthy Meals to Many Students

Many children in Lohardaga now eat very healthy school meals today. Hindalco spent Rs 5 crore to build a very big kitchen. This kitchen provides hot meals to twenty thousand young school students. It helps children stay healthy and study much better than before. More kids are coming to school because of this hot food. Local people also found good jobs working in this big kitchen. This project shows how food can change a child’s life now. They partnered with the government to make this kitchen possible today. High quality and hygienic meals are delivered to many local schools. Student attendance has improved greatly because of these warm daily meals.

Managing the CSR Funds with Great Care

A special committee looks after all the company’s CSR plans now. Rajashree Birla is the chairperson of this very important group today. They meet to decide how to spend money on needy people. They ensure every rupee reaches the right person in need now. Independent groups check the impact of their big social projects today. Most people say they are happy with the company’s local help. The company wants to be a very big force for good. They strictly follow the rules of the Indian Companies Act now. Their goal is to create long term value for every person. This careful planning makes their social work very successful indeed today.

Caring for Every Vulnerable Person

The company focuses on the weakest people in our entire society. All beneficiaries belong to very poor and marginalized groups today now. They work to lift the heavy burden of local village poverty. Hindalco follows the vision of the United Nations for social growth. Their team treats every person with great dignity and also respect. They even help critically ill dogs and other stray animals now. This shows their heart extends to all living beings nearby today. Over two thousand animals received medical care and rehabilitation this year. Project UNLEARN helps people in prison learn about much better values. They believe in being a true force for good everywhere now.
