Chief Minister Vijay Rupani awarded the company with a certificate of appreciation at Dhrol

AHMEDABAD: On the occasion of Van Mahotsav, Gujarat State Chief Minister awarded Cairn India Limited, an oil and gas major with a ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ for the Greenbelt project that company has developed in partnership with Department of Forest, Morbi at Makansar, Morbi, Gujarat.
Sameer Devgan, DGM – Land RJ & Steerco member and Land Acquisition – Cairn India attended the function and received the certificate of appreciation on behalf of the company. The event was organised by the state government and district administration at Dhrol in Jamnagar district.
Sudhir Mathur – Acting CEO of Cairn India said, “We are elated to receive this appreciation from the state government. In Gujarat, the company has already developed afforestation in Banaskantha District of Gujarat and planted more than 25,250 trees in 25 Hectare land.
Furthermore, another green initiative at Nal Sarovar under Project Shristi in association with Forest Department, Gujarat Government and Cairn India–ONGC’s Joint venture was launched few years back, where the area had been developed into a potential tourist attraction as well as development of a green area of 12.5 hectares.
Cairn India in collaboration with Forest department and Marine National Park, Jamnagar have developed mangrove plantation in 100 Hectares of coastal land in Sikka Block, Khambaliya and Kalyanpur Block around Jamnagar and Dev Bhoomi Dwarka districts.
