Dhenkanal (Odisha): In a bid to inculcate safety consciousness and encourage employees and contract labour to adopt safety measures at work, a safety award function was organized by the EPC Division of GMR Infrastructure Limited (GIL-EPC) at GMR Kamalanga Energy Limited (GKEL) on 28 November 2013.
“Safety of all individuals remains the highest priority at the GKEL site,” General Manager (Projects), GIL-EPC, Mr. Damodar Tanguturi, said. “GIL-EPC has instituted safety awards with the intention to make everyone who works at the GKEL site aware about safety and to make their daily life safe. We will continue to organize such award functions regularly for the safety of everybody working here,” he added.
Mr. Atul Sharma, Associate General Manager (Civil), GKEL and Mr. Dipankar Roy, Manager, Health Safety & Environment, GIL-EPC, and Mr. Jayanta Kumar Mohanty, Program leader, GMR Varalakshmi Foundation (GMEVF) congratulated all the winners of GKEL, GIL-EPC and GMRVF for safely leading by example at work.
