New Delhi: The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy is implementing a Waste to Energy (WTE) Program to generate biogas, BioCNG, and electricity from urban, industrial, and agricultural waste. The program has a budget of Rs 600 crore for the period 2021-22 to 2025-26, and it provides central financial assistance to interested developers who set up WTE plants.
